Credit Bureau
A credit bureau is a major credit reporting agency that is a "clearing house" for information on the credit rating of both individuals and firms. This is often called a "Credit Repository" or a "Consumer Reporting Agency". The 3 largest credit bureaus in the U.S. are:
  • Experian: Located in Allen, Texas & Costa Mesa, CA.
  • Equifax : Located in Atlanta, GA while subsidiary affiliate who handles the South-Southwest part of the U.S., CSC Credit Services located in Dallas, Texas.
  • Trans Union: Located in Fullerton, CA.
